Ethics in Business

One thing people don't often take into account when trying to recruit buyers of at home business opportunities or buyers to their products is the ethical and moral consequences of their actions. Take for example these "Medicine show" ads you see plastered all over the net these days. Boasts like "make $34,000 in your first 3 month's" or "$1,500 in just 3 weeks" there are thousands of them, and 99% of them are crap plain and simple.

As I've said before there are "scammers" out there that are nothing more than common criminals or con-artists trying to embezzle your money out of you and then disappearing. These people lack ethical and moral reasoning and fiber.

You know even if these scammers ask you for only a dollar they are still making thousands of dollars doing it, because your not the only one who fell into the trap. Think about it for a moment, a thief decides he's going to sell a scheme on the Internet for $1.00, are people going to feel threatened by that amount? No, probably not so one person will shell out the buck, then another and another. There are 301 million people in the USA as of 2007. If this con-artist takes in a measly buck from only 1% of the population that's 301,000 people that give this person a buck. That's allot of money! Each person on the whole says "I lost a buck, big deal" but there's 301,000 of you and now this person has $301,000.00 nice haul for an ad with BS tactics and promises that will make you rich in 3 months huh? These people have no ethics or moral values.

As a home business owner myself I am appalled by the growing number of unethical scams out there. I've also come to notice a new trend which I would like to draw to you the readers attention. It was the norm of email to be the main source of distribution of this material from the scam artists but, that is no longer the case. That's right, email is still an important tool for them but, there is a new tactic most people are unaware of and its the job hunting boards. I won't exclude any of them from this list because when I discovered this I found it on most of the sites I went to. In particular most of the scams can be found by searching telemarketer or customer service representative positions on the engines. However, some are showing up in engineering and computer IT position searches as well. When you click on this position offered ad it takes you to a sales type page where your asked to enter your complete demographic information including CELL NUMBER for text messages. Then your given no indication as to the positions actual function, only that you will be contacted.

What starts to show up are random text messages from scammers trying to sell you get rich quick schemes or even worse companies claiming to be functional businesses looking for someone in the USA to act as a liaison between they're overseas main office and customers in the USA. These companies request that you go open a new bank account and then forward them the account information so you can take cash from clients in the USA and deposit it and the overseas company can then withdraw this cash from your account paying you a service fee for each transaction. This supposedly allows the company to gain access to funds they would otherwise have to wait for using conventional money transfers or wires.

If you stop and analyze this system there should be all kinds of bells, alarms and whistles going off in your head right now. Lets look at this more closely, First the account, what's required in the USA to open most accounts? A minimum deposit right? Some are $10 to $100 right? Point is most banks want you to make a deposit into the account so they will open it for you. Next, what's required by law from a bank in order to open your new account? Complete personal information right? job, demographics, license or id, and most important your SS#. That's allot of information that is you, can you imagine what a thief could do with that information? But, that's not the worst of it, you've made let's say your $10.00 minimum to open the account and now you send your entire access account information to this company overseas or here in the US and they now have complete access to your account. What would you do if you were unethical and this company? You would withdraw the $10 right? If 301,000 people fell into this trap at an average of $10.00 what's the damage? That's $301,000,000! a dollar for every person alive in the USA. Holy Smokes!

You can see why it's important for you as a prospective home business owner to watch out for ethical business practices. I am at a loss as to why career search engines are not attempting to filter these scams as of yet but wanted you to be aware of them. Do NOT give anyone your cell, SS# or home phone unless you are SURE it's a authentic business and job offer. And then only after or during the personal interview session has been arranged and attended.

Until next time

Tips for when you look for your at Home Business

Everyone secretly desires to be financially solvent and independent, especially from companies that don't even know you exist, even after you have worked there a number of years. I remember one company I worked in when I was 19 years old, it was a Steel Mill. I was hired and issued a clock or punch card number as a personal identifier to me. I would go to work in the morning and punch my card and slide it in a board full of slots for cards, there were 700 of them at the time, which is allot of people. Anyhow, to the company I was my punch card number and nothing else. When they corresponded with you it was as your clock number and not your name. I was there a good many years and was never recognized as a living person only a # assigned to a hardhat.

Other's of you may have had several other situations in the office or the factory where your an employee number or last four of your social? That feeling of being an expendable resource is very cold and callous, some people don't mind it but most do I think.

What the main desire of most people is, is to do something for yourself, that helps you become as much or as little as you desire, but to have a name for yourself and to be able to take care of your family by putting food on the table and keeping the roof over your heads. The only problem with starting an at home online business is figuring out what is NOT a scam and what is.

People by nature these days are very selfish and self centered. And the ones offering allot of the at home business or online businesses are no better than felons and con-artists. Most of the programs out there that they offer you are absolutely nothing and won't make you a cent. In fact they are structured so that you will purchase one add-on after another with them promising to tell you the whole business after your next purchase.

Really there is no system, except for these crooks to leach as much out of you as possible before you finally give up and try something else.

There are a few things that might help you avoid these scams and I'll try to list them here for you.

Firstly, you really do not need to follow any package in particular. Just reading what some of these promise of wealth ads promise you or reading enough of them can eventually lead you to understanding the true underlying at home business opportunities that exist, the hard part is figuring out where to get started.

The number one way to begin generating your income from the Internet is to become an affiliate. As an affiliate you create blogs, articles, web pages or some other circulation that people will find interesting and place ads relevant to the content on your site that will generate income when they are clicked on. Yes its that easy. Keep in mind though its difficult to generate five figure incomes a month with this alone but not impossible. To generate large incomes you would need saturation (many, many, many pages that people actually read on the WWW) or just a few fantastic content pages that draw people to your information like moths to a flame. The latter is the best way to approach an affiliate standpoint.

Content is the number one generator of traffic on the Internet. You must produce quality information with interactivity in order for people to come. Once they are on your site or page they will naturally browse the information there and click on relative links or ads to find more of the same great relative information. That's what being an affiliate is about in layman terms.

The two most well known affiliate programs out there are Goggles AdSense and Click Bank

Don't ever let anyone sell you this information. These two companies offer it with a free sign up. All that is required is your information and either a Pay Pal or Click Bank payment account so you can collect your money.

If you don't know any html, there are drag and drop html editors available, some free that allow you to construct websites visually rather than with code. You can also blog which under most circumstances is also free. Just keep your content relative to your blogs theme and install the AdSense code which you receive from the Google site or the Click Bank site. Any AdSense type affiliate program uses keywords in your article to find matching relative articles to post in the ads you are paid from so if your content is wild and loose your ads may have no relevance to your topics. It's important when you blog or write to use words to convey your idea throughout the article to allow the AdSense ads to tune into your page this will generate the most clicks for you.

Another thing to consider is, do not go over-board when adding the AdSense or click bank code to your site you don't want it to be all ads and no content, people will not come back then.
Well this will give you one way to start generating that online income, I will introduce more methods later on so subscribe to this site and relevant ones I write and you'll get the information you need to start your own at home business.

Thank You.

Another at home business scam.

Remember awhile ago when Amway was exposed as a huge pyramid scheme? Yes, that is the kind of plan that has you recruited by someone, then having to buy your products from that person so you can sell it to other people. Thing was in that program the only way you could make money was not by selling the cheap crap products but by recruiting 10 or so people yourself who would buy the products from you and then recruit 10 people each themselves and so on down the pyramid. In a scam like this you eventually build a large pyramid under yourself of people paying you for being a part of the scheme. Of course your paying it up the ladder as well to the ones who recruited you and so on. The people on the bottom of the pyramid always suffer though especially if the scheme is exposed and comes crashing down before you get a chance to make any money.

There is another such program out there, and although I can't attest to it 100% because I opted out before I spent way too much just to even get the information about how the business works.
Again I won't name them but I will tell you about the way things went down and what they offer, so you can be aware of and prepared for it if you should come upon it.

Like with Amway, this company deals with products you must purchase. The products are to do with health products. Now health products aren't a bad thing right? No, I didn't think so either but the ethics this company used in sucking you in are.

First off, your asked to OK a charge for $9.95 to your card to receive this information from them and if you hold onto it for 14 days you'll be billed an additional $39.95. Well when you read their ad its typical for scam sites but still intrigued me enough to say OK maybe this plan is different, only the warning lights were blinking in my mind regardless. 14 days isn't a bad time to peruse over some information about a at home online business and if I think it sucks well then I return it for no further charges. I just didn't like the non-refundable charge of $9.95 which they said they would keep also, the package doesn't come with return postage paid so it will cost you another $5-$6 bucks to mail it back. That's around $15.00 you already have invested for nothing really.

Well the package arrived and I'm expecting a well laid out plan to run a turn key online at home business right? Wrong, What I get for the $9.95 is a folder with two propaganda disks, I call them that because its full of all these people swearing they make at least $1500 a month up to $13000 a month from home. After reading all the literature and listening to the disks I get no information about the business at all only that there is a mention of health products. This again gets my internal alarm ringing. There is a call from someone who calls herself my personal trainer though, and she's as vague as the package she sent. Well she wants to call me back a few days later to explain the structure of the business to me but wants me to think about it for those few days. All I was thinking is, she's stalling to get me to use up the 14 days return option but I said OK and hung up. Well she calls the next day and talks to my wife briefly who has no idea about what this is and says she'll call back later. Well the day she is supposed to call she doesn't! I waited all day and most the night, no call. So now three days are used up, I decide to write an email to her to ask IF she is going to call and that already I'm not impressed so far.

Well the next day I call this 800 # and leave her another message. And wait for her call. Finally, she returns the call and we spend around 20 minutes talking. the first 15 minutes are why do I want to have my own business, as if that's not obvious but anyways. She tells me the company name and the products and spends allot of time telling me about how much she makes and how much she wants to make etc. Finally I get her to the meat and potatoes of the venture and she goes on to tell me there is no selling to friends and family. (like Amway). Then comes the punch line about their business model. There are two options, option one is called their basic purchase. It gives you some form with permission to sell in 69 countries, and some products to sell, she says to friends etc. (Wait a minute didn't she say earlier there was no selling to family or friends?) Anyhow this package does not come Internet ready so you have to do door to door sales I'm assuming. The cost for this package is the $9.95 you originally spent, the $39.95 they bill you after 14 days and the final cost of $69.95 which is a total of $119.85. Wow, allot of money for nothing right? and no Internet business as originally promised on their ad.

I don't know what your thinking at this point but I was thinking "what a bunch of crap!" Well, now she proudly goes on to speak about package two which incidentally includes all the nothings from package one plus a manual, another DVD (probably more propaganda), a ticket to one of their sales pitch artists in a local city so I can go listen to him pitch up the company, also I would get one month of weight control products for personal use. She said I only get the personal coach with the 2ND package also as well as a customer list supplied and the information for setting up as a web based business and all this was only going to cost me $9.95 for the initial package plus $39.95 after 14 days plus $399.00 for package two for a total of $448.90.

So needless to say I finally ended up paying $9.95 plus $6.00 for return postage for a total of $15.95, to find out what she was offering was not in my best interest and probably not yours either.

Well this is another one I would chalk up to as either a scam or definitely them trying to suck as much money out of you as possible before disclosing the entire scheme to you. Please be aware they exist and that they offer this opportunity to you from email and job boards. Yes boards like Career builder are being used by these companies to post(fish) for suckers.

Until next time adios amigos.

A little about the financial situation

We're in the midst of a depression. Not since the 20's has America felt such a weight on its shoulders as now. If you want to believe both presidential candidates its not all that bad, in fact they both want to spend 300-500 billion to clean things up. That's nice, especially when we owe China in the trillions, we could just give them California I suppose. As the government haggles over how they can spend more money to lower the deficit and of course borrow from China to pay for oil in Saudi Arabia, people are suffering, and not a humorous suffering either.

When the bringer of all this misery first took office eight years ago, *coughs* Bush *coughs*. Things were still good he hadn't began his corporate ass kissing yet. But as his term went along so did the deficit and so did the impending doom of our financial structure.

We had a housing boom in the first few years of Bush's term. Builders were building homes faster than ever, in Arizona alone, once agricultural lands were now row upon row of track homes all beckoning the new home seeker "buy me". The banks came up with a scheme called revolving mortgages or interest only loans, they pitched how much you'd save not paying your principal and in 3-5 years you would just refinance yourself into a 30 year fixed. They assured everyone interest rates would stay put and most everyone believed them. That's where the tragedy set in.

People flocked to the new interest only mortgages likes flies on a piece of meat. Only problem was, the banks were wrong interest rates climbed so fast, and house prices dropped sharply that the home owners debt to income ratio was now reversed AND banks would not refinance people into 30 year fixed terms with the bad ratio. Catch 22, and thousands upon thousands of foreclosures later.

Not only have people lost their homes, and still loosing them but we also have shady dealings going on in the stock market to top things off.

Employers have also jumped on the lets dump Joe to save money bandwagon and are downsizing like there's no tomorrow. Companies realizing the cost to keep people working full time and paying their medical and matching their 401k is costing them money not to mention the building size as well, yes, if they axe Joe and hire a freelancer to work by telecommute they would save a bundle on the size of the building they need as well.

Joe now has to take on student loans if anyone will look at him and re-educate himself or find himself living on the street or standing at highway on ramps with a sign asking for money. What happens to Joe's wife and kids? I shudder to think.

In this chaotic world of greed and indifference the little guy, Joe for example needs to look out for himself and his family. He can't get into an office now, is too old to dig ditches and he and his family have used up the last of their savings and borrowed all they could against the 401k. What's left for Joe? Only god knows really?'

Before its too late, before your boss decides your just 40k a year too much a strain on his business and you start to resemble Joe's predicament, take a minute and sit down. There's an option for you. Work at home opportunities exist that can get you not only out of trouble but get you financially solvent. The problem is sifting through the ones that are scams and in my opinion 70% of them are just that, scams and finding some information and tools you can use to build a successful online venture for yourself that could return as much as your yearly salary or more if you desire it.

Most of these crooks that get you on these car ad banner websites that tell you they are only accepting 5 more people so you had better hurry are the biggest scams, I know , I test them. I have actually bought into these to see which ones work and which ones are nothing more than rip offs trying to sucker you in to buy first this and then this and then call you on the phone tell you they are going to help you succeed reading a script. How do I know that? Because three people call from the same company reading the same script a week apart of each other. And does anyone really help you? no.

It's a waste of time if you get a site that spouts off how they made 6 figures in 3 months and have a timer saying your SO lucky you're the fifth to last person they are accepting, click away from the page. Like one program I checked out. A story of how this mailman was working his butt off and he and his wife were living pay check to pay check but, then he sees this young 20 year old guy in a sports car that cost more than he makes in 2 years. Well this mailman finally asks the kid how he does it and after some artistic writing and flamboyant descriptions this kid finally tells him his secret and he goes home has dinner with the wife and kids and goes for a drink at the local bar. Well if it doesn't just so happen that all the while he's eating and then having a few drinks that he makes $180 bucks already! Holy smokes I think, well the program is only $70 dollars how can I go wrong, right? So I buy it and I follow every little step in the package and guess what? 3 weeks later and still not a dime to show for anything. They did call to offer support like I said on 3 separate occasions and all reading the same script on how they own their own loan company and it takes revenue to build your business, and I should get financed to get this crap off the ground and how this financing will pay for itself when I get rich. Then its the "oh yeah don't forget this product for $59.95 its absolutely necessary". I asked all three of those turkeys how did he (mailman) make $180 bucks in 3-4 hours when I haven't made a cent using the same supposed techniques? The answer was silence then back to the script.

The above instance is true this company is still trying to rip people off. And I'll tell you more about them later. Anyway, after monkeying around with them and a few others, I will also mention them later, on the website I'm creating. I decided to look deeper into Internet businesses and work at home opportunities and iron out the good from the bad. Because believe it or not, if you can wade through all the crap and cheap salesmen some programs, services and eBooks actually do work. I think I'm doing OK, AND I'm showing a profit doing it my way sure its slower but it works!. I'm going to offer up only the best information I can dig up as well as some great products for the home business office such as helpful software and tips to what you can do to start generating an income from home.

No, its not a get rich over night scheme like those crooks. This requires you do a bit of leg work so to speak, actually its sitting behind your PC for 4-5 hours a day on weekends and a few hours a night a weekday. It took me 3 months of hours like that to get myself up and going and it's finally starting to go. I can see myself retire early and you can as well. Subscribe to this blog and I'll keep you posted. When the websites up and running you'll be the first to know about it and can see what I think works and decide for yourself.

Oh, my offer won't run out with the next 5 people either.

P. S. I want you to know I do not endorse any ad on this site other than my own in my favorite links section. The sites displayed on google AdSense are random and I have no control over they're content. If you click on something and it looks like a scam just back yourself out. As I said my business site will soon be up and running with real information and tools you can use to make a REAL at home/online business that will show as much profit as you desire all it takes is effort.

Thank you for reading

Don't you feel like a rat in a maze?

Do you feel like someone put a piece of cheese somewhere at the end of the maze of life as far as work goes and your just following it to it's conclusion? What a drag huh?

There are ways to get out of it BUT, you really have to WANT it! No one is going to hand anyone millions of dollars and say here goto town, retire, take care of your financial issues, buy that dream 2nd home on an island somewhere. NOPE, your either on crack or are still tripping from the 60's.

What's got to happen is, you need someone to guide you in the right direction for changes that will effect you in a positive way, if you get off your rump and do some work that is. That person is me. I'm not going to hand you a bag of money or the miracle one product that will make you get the midas touch but, I will steer you in the right direction.

I'm NOT a financial pro! My expertice is in Graphics, I'm a Game Artist. I make 3D characters and models out of pure enjoyment, not to become famous or rich from it. Although if I do make money at it I will not say NO to it. Bottom line is its more for pleasure than pay at the moment, but I still do not work for someone else while I do it. My home business see's to that. That's where my expertice in helping you comes into play. I've tried quite a few of the crap offers out there on the internet, ALL these Bozo's telling you you'll be making 6 figures in 2 weeks. What a bunch of crap and lies. And I'm going to point these Bozo's out to you in the future on this blog. Like the one's who say "you only have two hours left to take advantage of this" Please what shit! Do you see this bozo changing his web page to count down to 0? No, He's going to send the same ad to 1 million other people just like you and it will stay like that until he suckers in a bunch of unwilling buyers who end up with crap. In fact he'll probably stick this junk in some marketing package and tell that poor sucker he has the right to sell the same junk to someone else for more money. Sheesh!

Well not only will I point out these flim flams, I'm also going to point out the one's that really do work! Not overnight riches, but with a bit of legwork (as little as 2-3 hours a day) IN YOUR HOME! Not some stuffy, micromanaged office. I'll lead you down the right path to finally getting rid of the boss and replacing him/her with independance and financial freedom.

I'm not leading you on here either, I still want to warn you that not everything out there has been tested by me or is proven to make you rich but, some of the ideas are SOUND and with determination and help from those that have done it. You'll soon be saying ADIOS to the micromanager.

Check back often or subscribe to the feed and you'll keep on top of it all!
